The steam of her breath rose into the icy cold December air as Rori stood outside in the snow just outside the school she worked at and called her home.   Rori shivered as the wind hit her with snow crystals as she waited for her warrior to come home. She shoved her hands into pockets and scanned the surrounding forest for him.  She ignored the calls of her friends and collegues that she should come in, that it had been 2 months, and that he wasnt comming back.  They were wrong. She knew he was comming back. She could feel it.
She spun around as she heard rustling behind her.  Holding her breath, she walked towards the sound.  She let out a sigh and frowned when she saw it was only a rabbit caught in the brush.  After she set the rabbit go, she heard footsteps behind her.  Rori turned expecting it to be one of her friends intent on dragging her inside.  Her eyes widend as she saw her warrior step out of the shadows.  She smiled and ran to him falling over her feet and falling into the snow.  She heard laughing as he pulled her out of the snow.
She hugged him tightly and sighed breathing in his comforting smell.  She pulled away quickly when she felt something sticky on her hands. She looked down at them and frowned.  "Harry your bleeding" she said.  She heard his voice harsh with pain reply "Its freezing.....you shouldnt have been out here waiting for me."  Rori frowned and said"thats not the point.....your bleeding badly....why didnt you get help?."  Rori looked up with tears in her eyes as she heard him say "It  didnt matter to me. All that mattered to me was getting back here as soon as possible so I could be with you."
